I want to lift up two upcoming events that might be a next step for many of you in making that shift.
First, I want to lift up our Deeper Group Gathering on January 24th from 5-7:30pm. You may have gotten a letter from me about that this week, but if you didn't, here's the info. We're inviting every adult in the congregation to come to this event at our home (3010 Auburn Creek Ln, LC). All current Deeper Group members, and everyone interested in finding out more about them are invited. You'll hear people share about what their group means to them and find out when the existing groups meet in case you're interested in giving them a try. We're also hoping to start a new group on Thursday nights.
Don't worry, by coming you're not committing to being in a group. You're just committing to eating a free meal and getting to know some other people in the church. We hope you'll consider coming! Free childcare is provided if you contact paige@thewatershedchurch.com before January 22nd.
The second thing I want to lift up to each of you to consider is whether or not you are ready to become a "partner" here at The Watershed. We call them partners, instead of members, because we want each person to see themselves as vital part of our ministry. If you feel like you are ready to hear more about what that entails, you'll need to come to the 2 important meetings that prospective partners must attend in order to become a partner at The Watershed. The dates are Wednesdays, February 10th and 17th. Our next Partnering Sunday is February 21st.
Can't do it this time around? No worries. We'll be having partnership classes 4 times per year so there will be other opportunities to join the church. And no one has to join in order to attend here. Feel free to come as long as you like without joining. But when you're ready for a deeper level of commitment, we hope you'll consider partnership.
I know that's a lot! But as I said, this will be a great year to get people connected to Christ and one another! And I hope to see each of you at the connecting place this Sunday morning!
